Bojitsu is the study of the Bo (long wooden staff), which trains the student to use strikes, blocks, parries, thrusts, and sweeps for self defense. Traditional Japanese weapons such as swords, sai, nunchukos, etc. have very little application in modern times. However, the Bo is a traditional weapon that can be applied in a large range of practical techniques in real life situations.
The class consists of basic techniques, combinations, self defense, and kata, allowing Bojitsu students to earn a black belt in less than two years with hard work and diligent study. Student safety is an important consideration, and therefore, this class is only available for boys and girls 10 years of age or older, teens, and adults. Complete beginners as well as experienced students are welcome to join!
