Boxing is a high energy sport that offers the ultimate workout. Boxing can also drastically increase the striking ability of any martial artist. However, our goal is not to just put two people into a ring and let them beat each other senseless. Instead, we have created a challenging class that teaches the science of boxing. Our coaching staff focuses on developing a strong foundation of basic skills through drills and conditioning activities.
The Champion Boxing program is available for experienced boxers, as well as for first time boxing students.
The Champion Junior boxing program is available to all boys and girls ages 8-12. We do not allow competitive boxing for this age group. Instead, the goal of this class is to help our students improve hand/eye coordination, concentration, balance, cardiovascular condition, and strength, as well as self-discipline and self-esteem. The basics of American boxing are taught, which focuses on developing fundamental boxing skills through conditioning activities and offensive/defensive drills. Sparring is light and only done under direct supervision of the coach. This class is a fun activity for all children, so be sure to check it out!
The Champion Senior boxing program offers an energized workout to both competitive and non-competitive students. While this class is not solely a fitness program, it does allow teens and adults to punch away pounds and stress while getting a great cardio workout. Students learn boxing fundamentals through our circuit training system in a safe, comfortable, and professional atmosphere. As with our Junior program, students in the Senior program learn offensive and defensive skills through hands-on practice. Personal training is available, and competition is available for select participants.
