Champion supports a strong belt ranking system, which recognizes and awards the individual growth and development of our students. Through good attendance and participation in sponsored events, Champion students earn points needed to meet the specified rank requirements. To help our students achieve the points needed for rank, Champion hosts local developmental tournaments throughout the year (please refer to the calendar section of this website for upcoming tournaments and events). Many clubs and teams from across Houston and the surrounding areas support these events. Legitimacy of rank is very important, and all of the ranks earned at Champion are traceable through and recognized by the United States Judo Association, USA Judo, and the American Karate Association.
